Part 1: Responding to the COVID-19 Outbreak: Global Clinical Performance and Development of the Applied Biosystems TaqPath COVID-19 Assay

Abstract
From the initial launch in January to Emergency Use Authorization and global approvals in March, to subsequent developments to enable more laboratories to do more testing, our TaqPath COVID-19 Kit has become a central component of many COVID-19 protocols around the world. In this webinar, Dr. Paul Granato shares clinical data and discusses how our solutions are helping in the fight against SARS-CoV-2.

Part 2: Putting the Applied Biosystems TaqPath COVID-19 kit to the test: clinical performance against the competition

Abstract
Dr. Ninad Mehta from ARUP Laboratories shares their laboratory’s experience on the clinical performance of the TaqPath COVID-19 test as compared to two other PCR based tests for detection of SARS-CoV-2. Dr. Mehta presents performance data with regards to the “two of three” infected patient gold standard.

Part 3: Clinical Laboratory Experience with TaqPath COVID-19 Testing

Abstract
The worldwide spread of COVID-19 has stressed clinical labs in numerous ways. Whether in a start-up or a well-established laboratory, successful ongoing testing requires acute attention to detail. This presentation will illustrate how the TaqPath COVID-19 Kit is operationalized at a large regional reference laboratory with particular emphasis on the challenges unique to the assay.
