About the speaker
Dr. Archana Gupta is a Staff Scientist in the Genetic Sciences Division at Thermo Fisher Scientific. She holds a PhD in Immunology and Microbiology and has research expertise in chronic diseases emerging from virus infections. During her graduate work, she studied novel mechanisms involved in mediating neurocognitive impairment in subjects infected with HIV and Hepatitis C virus under the mentorship of Dr. Lynn Pulliam at the University of California, San Francisco. Dr. Gupta has an extensive background in the product development of research tools, and has collaborated with several academic labs across the country to participate in primary scientific research and technology development.
